Keep getting wrongfully banned in Fortnite BR
So I have been banned twice on Fortnite from playing on my PC and I have no idea why. What usually happens is that I play for a while then log off. Then I re login and as soon as I get out of the bus I get removed from the match with the message, "You were removed from the match due to your IP, VPN, machine, or cheating." Then I get the message that I have been banned for X amount of days for exploiting. I never did anything of the sort and have been trying to figure out what exactly is causing this. I just want to play without the worry that I'll be banned with no explanation. I already emailed epic a few times about this but their responses are the same each time about how they cant tell me. I don't use a VPN, cheat, and I played the game on two different WIFI's with the same results. The game plays and works fine on my Xbox. If you can help me figure out if there's something wrong with my computer I'd appreciate it.

I wonder...

The only thing I can think might be happening is jittery DHCP address assignment.

Each time a DHCP lease expires, potentially a new IP can be assigned.

This shouldn't have any effect as the address reassignment is a LAN address + still... something in packets might be changing which Epic incorrectly flags as VPN-ish behavior on your connection.

This seems like a stretch + only thing I can think might be happening.

Try this...

1) Connect directly to your router with an Ethernet connection (no WiFi).

2) Assign a static IP to your machine.

3) Reboot your computer + router + ensure your connection is stable across reboots.

4) Retest.

Report if this makes any difference. If it does, this suggests a debug path.

Mention if you're using normal WiFi or 802.11s (Mesh WiFi), as problem might be roaming to maintain connection strength, if you're fairly equidistant from multiple hotspots or the hotspot you're near has interference or one client using up all the bandwidth.

ASKER

I've tried two different wifis with and without ethernet. I don't think it has something to do with my internet. Whenever I do get to play, I get to play for long periods of time without disconnecting. I feel as if the anticheat system is detecting that I am somehow cheating

Note: You can only test Ethernet correctly, if you've completely shutdown WiFi.

Be sure you've run your Ethernet test correctly, as your comment... suggests you might have plugged in an Ethernet cable, without completely  disabling WiFi.
