OOBE process very long
I'm installing windows 10 with some apps using MDT/WDS
at the end of the task sequence i run sysprep, oobe and shutdown
when I startup and connect to wifi, it takes 8 to 10 minutes before it asks for the ms login and password.. then another 3 to 5 before the desktop appears. can I speed that time up at all? Thanks!

So the ISO I'm using is the 20H2 version downloaded from our VLMS service. No Windows store apps in the image.
I also have the latest driver pack installed into MDT for that laptop.
Weird.....

Unless you are using an LTSC image, the default profile will have some default windows store apps associated with. Pro usually has more than enterprise, but both do have some. I have not done a clean install of 20H2 yet to see what it's defaults are, and they do evolve from build to build, but they all have store apps.

So I've turned on the Windows Update scripts in the task sequence (don't know why they were disabled)
Currently running the deployment on a laptop....it's definitely grabbing updates and taking longer to deploy.
If this shortens the OOBE time, I'll setup a WSUS server and try it again

It was the updates!!! Thanks!
And if the gold image is already agnostic generalized and you are generalizing it a second time after install, I'd ask why. Just skipping that would probably a significant time saver.
