Which is better Acronis True Image 2021 or Malwarebytes?

I have both Malwarebytes and Acronis True Image installed.   I understand there is a conflict between them.   Which is better?

It would be helpful to know the nature of the conflict.
Malwarebytes is "better" in that it helps you every day.
Of course, Acronis True Image is an altogether different thing but not likely that you use it every day is it?
So, "which is better" is very hard to answer in really any context but this is an attempt of sorts.

They do different things.  It's a bit like asking, which is better, a cell phone or a toilet? Both can be important... but you really can't compare them 1:1.
Malwarebyte is a malware detection solution dedicated to find malware on the PC, however Acronis True image is used to backup your system, so the main job of Acronis is backing up your data. However Acronis added security to the backup solution, they added an anti-virus/malware/ransomware.. to the product for better security since you will be working with data and data can be infected. So If you're facing issues when both are installed together, then you should disable one of them.

If you have Acronis + another antivirus solution installed (McAfee, Norton, etc.) on your computer, you should uninstall one of them. But Malwarebytes is not an antivirus so you should have an antivirus installed or use Windows Defender which is more than good enough. Then you can keep both, disable Malwarebytes and run it manually only when needed.
you can disable mbam temporarily for testing :  How to Temporarily Disable Malwarebytes (itstillworks.com)
How to Temporarily Disable Malwarebytes
  1. Expand the system tray in the taskbar to view the list of applications running in the background.
  2. Right-click the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware icon and then select "Enable Protection" from the context menu. Click "Yes" when prompted to turn off Real Time Protection. REFOG: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: Customer Service.

Now I am thoroughly confused.   I thought Malwarebytes was an antivirus program.   I have Acronis installed.   If I activate Acronis Active Protection, do I need Malwarebytes?   Why would I want to disable Malwarebytes anyway?   Please advise the best way to proceed.   Cost is not a factor.   Thank you.
If I activate Acronis Active Protection, do I need Malwarebytes?
No. Malwarebytes is quite good at detecting malware so you might want to have it installed and run it for instance weekly. But you don't need it since you already have antivirus.

Why would I want to disable Malwarebytes anyway?
Your antivirus might not like it while scanning/protecting the computer.

Please advise the best way to proceed.
I see these options:
1. Use Acronis only
2. Use Acronis and run Malwarebytes when needed

I wouldn't use Malwarebytes only. I consider it as an additional layer of protection.
