Migrating VM with vMotion resulting in Orphaned VM

Hi,

I've started seeing an issue where when I hot-migrate a VM from one drive to another even on the same host, the migration succeeds but the VM is left in an orphaned state and is not powered on.  I have to remove it from inventory, register it on the new drive, and start it.  Then clean up the mess with Veeam backups and replications since it is technically a 'new VM'.
This just started happening yesterday evening.

Am on 7.0.1 of ESXi, Build 17325551.  I do have a vCenter server update pending (17327517 ) but had an issue installing it and hadn't followed up yet with that.

Any idea what could be causing this?
