How do I manually migrate a printer from one server to another?

I know you can use a print server migration tool to migrate all network printers from one server to another by exporting and importing a file. However, that is not my objective. I want to migrate one network printer from a current print server (Server 2012) into another print server (Server 2016) and test to see if it migrate and work/print properly for testing. Anything to consider? Ports/IP? I guess I am looking for a manual approach.

We will be migrating 10 printers in total. Here is the scenario (example).

- Printers we want to migrate is in PRINTSERVER1
- We want to migrate to PRINTSERVER2
- We do not want to import/export all at once and prefer to do it manually (one by one) to ensure it goes smoothly and we can test.
- We want to migrate a single printer first: e.g. - Lexmarkprint1 printer is on PRINTSERVER1. We want to migrate this to PRINTSERVER2. Users are currently printing to Lexmarkprint1 (dept. shared printer).

Given the scenario above, what should my action be (step-by-step)? If I wanted to test with Lexmarkprint1, do I delete it from PRINTSERVER1 first (of course I'll notate IP and printer settings before deletion)? Then go to PRINTSERVER2  and built the print queue (Lexmarkprint1) there? How do I download the driver manually for Lexmarkprint1 on PRINTSERVER1? I noticed that PRINTSERVER2 already possibly have the same driver for Lexmarkprint1 (because maybe there is a same model printer on PRINTSERVER2). However, I'm noticing that the driver version is different. Does that matter? Or can it be used? As for adding the MAC address to reservation, can you please elaborate?

No. You don't have to. Just add the printer on PRINTSERVER2 with the same settings, IP configuration, everything. You can have the same printer on different print servers.

Sometimes some settings might be different. But usually it's ok to use the latest printer driver.
Anyway, you should be able to download a printer driver for the server from official websites if needed.

As for adding the MAC address to reservation, can you please elaborate?
I thought you want to add a new printer. If you are migrating existing printers, skip this step.

I know print migration wizard will allow me to export a file of all printers on one print server. If I export that file on another print server and go through the wizard, will it allow me to the option to pick and chose one printer that I want to test first or will it only allow me to export all printers?
