Where Does MS Word 365 Business Fit (re Versions)

Where does the Office 365 business subscription fit in terms of version numbering. Is it after office 2019?  Office 2016?
Versioning has become opaque. At least to me.

Office 365 is being left behind for a new animal (presently it's similar to "Office 365" but it really is distinctly different).

MS 365 is not about office tools. Well, of course that's still the most recognized part of it, but the point is this: Microsoft realized that with such technologies as Teams, Bookings, Stream, Forms, and Power Automate (to name just a few) that the idea of an "Office" is no longer the best metaphor for what they are offering. They are becoming (or attempting to become) a one-stop-shop for not just an office, but for the whole enterprise.

You are dealing with the same thing I did (and to some extent still grapple with). MS has been horrible in how it has named (and renamed) these packages of tools. F3, F1, Office legacy, Business Basic, Standard, etc., etc.

If you just remember that MS365 (no matter the tier) is the new animal in the zoo and all others are being put-down, you'll be fine.

HI David Hansen, Alan Cox, and Vasil Michev:
BRING BACK PROPER VERSION NUMBERING!
Remember Windows 3.1.
That was straight forward.  Knew precisely what you were buying.
