Easiest way would be to crop it first, then adjust the canvas size to add the space you need. This won't affect the resolution at all, but can change the size (in pixel width and height) of the image.

I am new to Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 and want to take an image with a white background and move the logo or wording upward without losing the original resolution.
