Locked out of computer

Big problem.  I have a user that is not able to login into their computer.  They have a windows desktop that was connected to Azure Intune and then was disconnected from the Azure portal.  The problem is that they are still configured somehow to look for the Azure Intune to login and yet we don't have the ability to login to the computer.  Its locked at this point and we have documents on there that are important.

What is the best way to reset this computer and not lose the documents?  Should I use the Reset PC function in the Troubleshooting option when the computer reboots?  If I use that function will it allow us to set up the user account again somehow or will we have the same problem after the reset.  

Any suggestions?
