Unable to get Hulu on Apple TV in Canada

Hi guys,

I setup my wife with a hulu account here in Canada originally and was unable to get it work as Hulu is a US based app.   I did setup an account with Dynu.com and was able to create a public DNS which worked flawlessly however it seems the DNS it assigned me after creating the domain no longer exists.   I would like to know if there is a working US public DNS I can use for free (Or if I have to buy one I can) so I can continue to use Hulu at home here in Ontario.   Can anyone assist or point me in the right direction?

ASKER

The DNS assignment came from Express VPN which I got from adding the domain from Dynu but all of a sudden everything just quick even though the DNS is valid and pingable.  I do not know.

Dave I have express VPN that is where I assigned the Dynu Domain and it gave me the external DNS entry which is what I assigned to the apple TV for the US.   I think they blocked it.
Somehow the WAN IP address to my internet somehow became unregistered with Express VPN no idea how.   Somehow the IP changed from my ISP apparently?  I am all set thanks.
Using Express + Dynu seems very complex.

I use PIA (Private Internet Access), which allows easy selection of IPs located in various countries.

For example, like to watch "Arctic Air", use a Canadian IP.

Like to watch NetFlix US, use a US IP.

Looking at Dynu's service overview, I could see how you might use this facility as follows.

OpenVPN (VPN) -> Obfsproxy (Obfuscate VPN, as it's easy to see when any IP is running a VPN) -> Dynu (run your Obfsproxy over a random IP in a random country).

This might work.

Most VPNs (at least PIA already handles this) run their own Dynu type internal mechanism for randomizing IPs within a given country.
dns really doesn't come into play here

you need to connect using the vpn to express vpn and select the endpoint you want i.e. USA
Hi guys thanks for the follow up.  The registered DNS I set for the US somehow became unregistered when my ISP external IP change no idea how.   I reregistered it in express VPN then used the assign DNS entry on my apple TV and everything worked.  Thanks.
