Teams environment, open in desktop option of PP file causes error access denied see admin

In Teams and selecet a PowerPoint to open using the desktop app. I get an error that states "Access denied. Contact the administrator." Win 10 1809. Teams current version within a rev. Office O365/2016.

Sounds good. I would say perhaps perform a “resync” — unsure if you go to the Teams Channel this is in > its File section  > if they have an option to select Sync again if the PowerPoint file is showing a sync error or even if it’s not I would try to do that. Sync errors can cause denial messages especially if other file types and PowerPoint files are fine.
