Problem with custom domain to apache

I create a VM on azure with apache and i created a custom domain and a subdomain and add  records to point to vm. when the record was propagated, When i used the custom subdomain instead to see the custom domain for example test.com i see the ip and installed application for example x.x.x.x\tttt

what is going wrong? what to check to A records and to ubuntu?

When creating a domain, you need to own the domain to be able to use it and have a DNS server that will manage that domain. This alos applies to sub domains. Where have you set up your DNS servers and have you setup new forward lookup zones on the DNS for your custom domains?
Difficult to guess.

Provide your actual bare domain name (like foo.com) along with your host name (like dev.foo.com) for testing.
Reading carefully, be sure you understand.

1) You don't "add DNS records to Ubuntu".

2) You do add DNS records to the NS servers pointed to by your Domain Registrar, for example GoDaddy or NameCheap or 1000s of others.

Be sure you're actually adding your DNS records to your domain's NS servers.
