Visio 2010 - How to get rid of shadows behind shapes

Every time I drag a shape onto my sheet, it comes with a shadow --which I do not want.
How can I set the default so that I do not get a shadow every time I pick a shape from the stencil.

Have you tried this?

  1. Select the shape with the shadow that you want to change.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Shape group, click Shadow, and select No Shadow.

ASKER

Hi:Thanks.
I can get rid of shadows on individual shapes.

I want to get rid of them when I pull a shape from the stencil.  Currently when I pull a shape from the stencil, I ALSO get the shadow. Wierd.  I never had that happen before.
In other words, I want to change the stencil default to "no shadow".

I'm glad that solved the problem -- and thanks for the testimonial.
