SharePoint - How to Share a folder only with external users

Hi

I have a Microsoft 365 Standard for the company and I am setting a folder for external users to access some files and folder. I want that when external user login they only see the folder tree and nothing else.

Can you please advise?

You can create a sharing link direct to that folder tree, so that's their link and they're not browsing the site to get there.
The permissions can be granted to those externals purely through that sharing link (preferably to specific names individuals, not an anonymous link). Alternatively break permissions inheritance on the folder and grant the externals permissions that way, then send them a direct sharing link to the top level of the folder.

No sharing of the whole site is necessary.

That is great, and I guess it is secure. I remember someone that uses SharePoint a two year ago and he shared with me a bunch of folders and files. He sent me the link but I have to create a login with a password after a click on the link. How can I do that?

Dear James,

I did that and the guest user has signed but he cannot see folders. Is this to do with his roles permissions, if so which permissions should we give to a guest user?
