How do I fix a Microsoft Server 2012 R2 whose user profile service is failing to logon any user
Have a machine that had a ransomware infection. Now that we have removed the ransomware, it appears to have damaged some system files as we get the following error when trying to logon:
"The User Profile Service failed the sign-in
User Profile cannot be loaded."
"The User Profile Service failed the sign-in
User Profile cannot be loaded."

We are ok on the data, I was trying to avoid reinstalling the server. However, thanks for the feedback and I will look into that now.
