Can not open Microsoft Word or Excel in Windows 10 Environment
Hi,
This is related to Office 365 in Windows 10 Environment.
One of client, can not open the Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
The things that I did:
1) I go to the file > right-click> Select open with “word” … still the same error message
2) The same things with Excel files
3) I go to Control Panel > Program & Features > Repair the office … the same eroor message
4) I uninstalled and installed back the Microsoft office … the same error message
I cleaned up all temp files. I fixed registry with the ccleaner. i updated the lenovo (including the bios update).
Thanks,
Tjie

Have you run windows update before you try to run Word or Excel?
ASKER
Why i try to open the files:
Word experience an error trying to open the file:
Try these suggestion:
- Try the file permission (nothing wrong with the permission)
- Make sure there is sufficient memory (around 15 GB free)
- Open the file with Text recovery converter (What is it?)

First, are you sure you haven't been hit by ransomware? (doesn't seem like it if it's limited to ONE system, but worth asking)
Next is the blocked? Right click the word or excel file and look for an "Unblock" button near the bottom right of the properties on the General tab. If you have that button, click it, then try to open the document.
Are the files on the network or the local computer? If you say local computer, are you sure? (A document on the desktop when the desktop has been redirected via Folder Redirection is ACTUALLY on the network!) Is there a difference in results if you try to open files on the local computer and on the network?
If network only, you may need to add the network location to the list of trusted locations.
