swapping to a larger M.2 PCIe SSD drive

I have a user that needs his hard drive swapped out, in the pass I usually us a Samsung s.w. that comes with a new SSD drive or Acronis, this is my first M.2 type drive I'm trying to swap out I tried to use Acronis TrueImage but this s.w. will not work with M.2 type drives. I asked Acronis for a product that will work for me, they sold me Acronis cloud backup, I could not get this to give me a good image to work on a new larger M.2 SSD drive. Any suggestions on a diff. option to swap out these types of drives?

BIOS up to date is a must but not a requirement.
You don't load the drivers until the software has been fully booted. Both Acronis and Paragon, have it clearly stated in the menu, just calling it "Load drivers".
