AWS Service to move files from one S3 to another

I am currently exploring the use of the data pipeline and/or lambda to move PDF files from one S3 bucket to another putting the files in separate folders based on file name.Currently, an outside entity drops files in Bucket 1. There is a Ruby application that reads Bucket 1, determines the file names and moves them to the appropriate existing folders in Bucket 2. I am trying to replace the Ruby application. Sometimes, files come in that are not named correctly and that error will need to be handled. Any ideas of what would work best?
