Just another opinion, 7-Zip is my go to archive manager these days, and it does support RAR archives. &nbsp;It's not perfect, and the UI isn't exactly state of the art, but the price is great (free), it has good functionality, and it has a command line version, which for me is important.<br />

I have used WinRar in the past as well and nothing bad to say about it.<br />

FWIW, I used to be a WinZip customer, their product was a bit in front of the others in the field a number of years ago. &nbsp;And it had a command line version too, and was quite fast. &nbsp;But sometime around v20 I think it just became more and more &quot;bloated&quot; for my taste / needs. &nbsp;Not to mention the cost increases for updates, etc. &nbsp;So I don't use the old version of that I still have much anymore, unless there is something I run into that only it can handle.<br />

You should go for 7-zip. <br />

While the UI argument is correct, the main usage of 7-zip happens via the context menu. At least for me, can't even remember the last time when I needed an UI ;)<br />
<br />
The only thing is, there are some RAR formats out there, which require RAR or WinRAR. As 7-zip cannot process all possible RAR options/versions.

Hi ALL!<br><br>Ah! &nbsp;Yep - these are all ones I've seen and tried before. &nbsp;They each just seem to have so many features. &nbsp;<br><br>The ONLY thing to recommend itself about the venerable Frog RAR is the simplicity. &nbsp;It is almost a 1, 2, 3 set of interactions.<br><br>Is there any comparable RAR program that is less complicated but is NOT any of the bove mentioned, nor te Frog?<br><br>Sincerely,<br><br>OT<br><br><br>
