I know you can easily embed a web URL into a QR code, but I hope for more.
I want to append a unique command-line parameter onto each QR code, one for each flier I send out, so I can better track my response rates to mass snail mailings.
So, how would I accomplish this?
If I used Bit.ly to redirect the URL, I presume I would not have the option to pass in a unique parameter in the URL. Or, is that option available in some way? By a Bit.ly alternative?
If not, I could replicate Bit.ly, for my one domain, and make sure the site accept all parameters passed in, then simply pass them along to the web URL referenced in the QR code.
Does this make sense?
If I did such a thing, I would need software which can also mass generate QR codes, so I can provide a batch of them to the printer.
Does that software exist?
It seems easy...is it?
Thanks
how about embedding a URL into a QR code?
