Reinstall of AD/DNS server in vSphere environment

Dear Experts, is this possible to delete and reinstall the AD/DNS server of vSphere environment? If so, is there any impact to the system?

Is it the only domain controller/DNS server or do you have more than one (which you should)?
Why do you need to delete and reinstall?
I would install a secondary domain controller w/ the DNS role on it, then promote it to your Primary Domain Controller (PDC). If you only have one and delete it, it's going to be difficult/impossible to correct.

Yes, the problem is I could not access the DNS server. It said that "There are currently no logon servers are available to service the logon request ".

The only problem is backup Veeam is relied on that DNS server to do its jobs. vSphere is still running.
That's normally a sign of issues with Active Directory or DNS.

Check your AD logs.

Can you login on a Windows workstation but if your vCenter Server is using DNS, it will not be able to uase FQDN to contact ESXI hosts, if you are using FQDNs and you should be.

If you are using IP Addresses, then....

Hi, after reinstalled the AD/DNS, we started the vcenter GUI and it run normally, except that the ESXi said "Host IP address conflict alarm" and reboot required.

Can you please suggest?

My Answer

Answer - Yes there is an impact, if you use those DNS servers for your vSphere Infrastructure!!!!

I think this would be better posted as  a new question - Title -

" ESXi said "Host IP address conflict alarm" and reboot required. "
