Nah, PowerShell doesn't have that limitation. &nbsp;It is, after all, a shell. &nbsp;As such it will run any command you give it (subject to parsing rules).<br />

That said, PowerShell isn't magic (as much as I like it), and there's no special syntax for uninstalling software in general (removing AppX packages bends that statement a little). &nbsp;To uninstall the software you would just need to find the right command, and PowerShell doesn't have an automatic way to do that.<br />

Oftentimes you can find the uninstall command string (or at least a clue to what it would be) under the registry keys at <br />
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR<wbr />E\Microsof<wbr />t\Windows\<wbr />CurrentVer<wbr />sion\Unins<wbr />tall<br />
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR<wbr />E\WOW6432N<wbr />ode\Micros<wbr />oft\Window<wbr />s\CurrentV<wbr />ersion\Uni<wbr />nstall<br />
You would have to search through the subkeys and find the one corresponding to the application you want to remove, then find the UninstallString value. &nbsp;Typically that is what is run to uninstall, but if that is incorrect or missing then sometimes you can glean what it should be from the ModifyPath or other values.<br />

Other times, a special uninstaller program is needed from the manufacturer. &nbsp;And of course, you've got programs like IObit Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller to help with uninstalls. &nbsp;I think I've only had one occasion in 20 years where I had to use one of these, so I can't really advise you on them.

I actually tried to do remote uninstalls with a powershell script a while back and gave up on it as it was inconsistent as to it working or not. (usually due to WMI on the clients) Basically when I was trying I was calling WMI &nbsp;(WMIC) via powershell to actually do the uninstall.&nbsp;

Paul, thank you. &nbsp;I downloaded/installed IObit Uninstaller. &nbsp;I ran IObit Uninstaller and it uninstalled the 2 pieces of software that I needed to uninstall. &nbsp;So I am definitely a happy camper. &nbsp;IObit Uninstaller did install 3 related other pieces of software, which did not make me happy; but I just uninstalled them and went on my way.<br><br>While I did not appreciate IObit Uninstaller installing other software that I did not ask for, it did accomplish my goal and for that I am grateful for putting me onto this software.<br><br>Thank you and thank you all for your other suggestions. &nbsp;God Bless everyone.<br>sla0610
