I have a map. It is a png file.I want to add some details to it. (names) Any advice on how to do this. I do not have any of the photoshop etc programs. How can I do this?

1) Click on Open Image (assuming you have an image of your map saved on your drive)
2) Select your map and it is now the first layer.
3) Add a new layer to add some text, a shape or other image. I am going to add some text and a shape.
4) When adding text, it defaults to white and I want to change to red.
