Desktop hangs on reboot. Will boot up fine on power up.
I just purchased a new HP EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF Desktop. I installed Windows 10 Enterprise. Everything works fine. No errors or crashes. However, if I reboot the PC, it shuts down but does not reload again. It just hangs there until I press the power button to power it off. Then press it again to power it on, which then it will boot fine. However, if I do a Shutdown, the machine will shut down and power off. Then will boot fine when I press the power button.
Any ideas? To me it sounds more like a perhaps a BiOS issue. No?

Have you checked the event viewer?

Yes, the issue happens after shutdown and before the OS boots. It's weird.
What is the log from event viewer?
Try this :
in "Power and Sleep" settings.set it to never sleep.
now Disable "Fast start".
Shut down pc and reboot.
and finally, try a RESTART from Windows.

Do you have any external hardware plugged in, like a USB drive or any other kind of storage device? Those sometimes interfere with booting but maybe something is hanging up the restart process.
I'm betting you have some sort of USB device that looks like storage to the system. Initiate a reboot and start pulling USB devices.
