How to extend DHCP lan to another Subnet on Cisco RV042 Router
We have a client who is running out of IP addresses.
We have one ip range setup in DHCP on a Cisco router.
How would I go about adding more IP's if all 245 are getting used up.
Our customer is a school and they all use Chromebook and devices.

the issue is will DHCP on the router give out both subnets to the clients automatically or will one subnet have to be all static and the other automatic.

If you are using a /24 subnet (mask 255.255.255.0) you could change it to a /23 (mask 255.255.254.0). You have to be careful, though. Make sure you know which devices use static IPs as you'll need to change the mask on those.
You will get more broadcast traffic with the larger subnet approach. That may or may not be an issue for you.
