You are right. The first thing I check if the Switch (or any other Device) is updated because updates might fix issues I'm facing. This is why I asked for the version.<br>I have two DELL Switches (I have tens in total) and I agree with Lieven. After facing several issues (time ago) I decided to demote them. Today, only one of them is working and the 2nd is kept as spare. The working one still gives me some issues I decided to ignore since is isn't critical anymore.<br>That said I would suggest to update if it isn't and capture Syslog events (and even making them more verbose) in order to get any Warning/Errors that might help.

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments.
