I would like to:
1. read somefile.php into a string variable
2. search for a substring = "xyzzy".
3. add a line of code after = // found it
4. save the file, same name, same location.

I understand $contents = file_get_contents('somefile.php'); but when I echo $contents; it gives me what my browser displays. I would like to see actual lines that I can search & parse etc.
Thank you,
Russ
