We have just received delivery of a brand new Supermicro 1114S-WTRT server and we were getting ready to do some setup before moving it to the DC.
To my surprise the built-in 10Gb NIC (copper - Broadcom BCM57416 Controller) would not connect to local switches 1Gb (both HP or Cisco) and I can’t seem to find a way to block them to 1Gb (the only BIOS option is to have them “Auto negotiate”).
Any idea ?
