Assigning Administrators Group rights to a folder

I am trying to assign the AD builtin administrators group rights to a specific folder/share.   I have done this in the past (older 2008 & 2012 servers).  I'm working on a 2016 server now and the builtin administrators group in the AD is not available.  What am I missing?

Thanks for the responses.   What I found is that when I had applied AD Administrators Group rights to a folder that server was a DC.  The server I'm working on today is not a DC.  Both of the answers pointed me in the direction I needed to go and figure it out.   Thanks again!!
