Email Body on Outlook 2019 does not show or shows for a sec then disappears

We are getting reports from multiple clients that are reporting that within Outlook 2019 on a hosted exchange account, the email body is not showing in the preview pane or when the email is opened.  This is happening on several systems at several different locations.  Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I checked OWA access on the accounts and the body does appear there but none of the clients want to use OWA since it does not have all of the features they need.  I know MS recently pushed a update to Outlook.  It may be due to that update but we dont have a procedure to fix this.

We currently have four issues until now with a similar description. 
Also I see a lot of similar messages from other users on a local error reporting platform.
The numbers of errors jumped up starting 3h ago (20:00 CEST).
They report more or less the same issue.
This points possibly to a Microsoft Problem.

So possibly you need some patience now until MS has fixed it.
Are you using a on premises Outlook with a hosted exchange solution?
Is this exchange hosted by a provider or a Exchange online?
The microsoft patch day is not yet published, nevertheless announmced for today.
Usually all online servers and office 365 is patched shortly before.

we are using an off premise hosted exchange system
I have the problem with three so far.  One Hosted Exchange, two POP clients.

You can revert back to an older version and it works.

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13901.20462

Trying that one now Norman.  You rock.

not sure why but this morning when we rested the issues with outlook on the systems that we're complaining, we found that it is not working fine.  we didn't see any updates that were applied so I'm not sure what happened.  this was across multiple networks at different locations.
Offcie 2019 (on premises) is click to run, what delivers a full prepatched package and not just an usual update. Therefore your traditions patch handling is a bit out of scope.
