I have tried it using mklink and I get an error code when searching for updates 0x80070005<br><br>Troubleshooter can't find anything wrong though.

Verify if the account that runs the windows update service has change access permissions to that folder.

I did verify the permissions. &nbsp;I have now put things back to the way they were. I can not be sure it is the fact that the Update Download Folder is on a USB but it looks like it to me at the moment. <br><br>Thanks for your help all...
