What can ML and AI do for me?

I am sitting here wondering about what direction machine learning and AI will have for IT professionals.  Even today, as an admin or IT consultant, what should I be looking for when it comes to implementation with ML in the current environment in which I have.  I use MS 365 and I alongside that, I believe they might already be leveraging such technologies in their cloud service, but what aspects of network protection, security, etc... should I concern myself with in order to stay with the trend in ML and AI development.  I am posing this question to get the juices flowing and gain a sense of direction of what I need to do to keep up with the times.

Currently, it's mostly marketing talk. And that's putting it mildly. Having a bunch of if-then-else statements in code doesnt make your product ML/AI-enabled, but hey buzzwords sell :)

so it seems like wherever there are a lot datapoints, ML may have more of an application
Security
Security

Security is the protection of information systems from theft or damage to the hardware, the software, and the information on them, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. The main goal of security is protecting assets, and an asset is anything of value and worthy of protection. Information Security is a discipline of protecting information assets from threats through safeguards to achieve the objectives of confidentiality, integrity, and availability or CIA for short. On the other hand, disclosure, alteration, and disruption (DAD) compromise the security objectives.
