I have two instances of SQL Server on two different servers.
In SQL instance one(SERVER1) is a linked server to SQL instance 2(SERVER2).
In SQL instance 2 there is a table called MyTable.

Much to my surprise I can issue this SELECT statement in SQL instance 1 and it will return data.
SELECT * FROM MYTABLE

How is this possible? This is SQL 2019. I have always prefixed the table name with the linked server instance name.
