Centos 8 HyperVM Clone issue

When restoring a Centos 8 VM in HyperV to create a clone - as soon as a network adaptor is attached to the running clone - the original drops network connection.
This is despite changing the IP address before attaching adaptor - and even trying to attach it to Virtual Network Card 3 rather than 2.

Check whether the Mac address of the cloned system is identical to the one you have.
the VM switch may see both and route/lockout the old in favor of the new.
not sure why not go through an install and then copy the configs that you want.

rpm -qa lists all the packages you need..

Thank you - I changed the MAC address after the hang in case it was that - Also the VM is running SugarCRM and much easier to clone than setup from scratch.
