so I'm a little confused on your answer. &nbsp;you're saying that not so much since vista, but then you say make sure you download the manufacturer drivers. &nbsp;So what really is your experience in this regard? &nbsp;Have you had to install drivers after restoring an image on only Vista and prior? or....?

I'll be honest. I've never really had a lot of experience in restoring machine back ups. Are there common problems where if you back up a machine with an image and restore it to a different machine that it perhaps causes problems since the same internal components are not present? I'd like to hear the experience of some of the experts.
