Visual Studio 2019 - Kill autosave or learn new workflow?

I need desperately to do one of two things:

1 Turn off autosave in Visual Studio 2019.

2 Change my workflow.

I would probably better off with option 2. I just don't know how real programmers manage not to trash working code when trying something out.

Thank you.

Current (as of this morning) version, Enterprise.
