Using a formula to get counts

I am using the following formula to get sum of BreakDown C if BreakDownB = IndustriesA
=SUMIF(BreakDown!B:B,Industries!A2,BreakDown!C:C)

How do I get the count of the hits on BreakDownB = IndustriesA

Did you try using COUNTIF?
=COUNTIF(BreakDown!B:B,Industries!A2)
