At the top of the search form there's a checkbox that says &quot;Recipe names only&quot;. It is now checked by default and when it is checked only words in column 'B' will be found. If you should ever want to search in a different column then uncheck it.<br />

hi martin, thankyou but it seems i have caused confusion in my requirements.<br />
Let me know if i need to ask a new question or not, the result &quot;found&quot; should only be applic to column 'b' not for any other cells, therefore there is only 1 receipe name with the text 'brick' in column 'b'. Even though there is other text 'brick' contained within this receipe outside of column 'b' the result count should only show what is found in column 'b' &amp;&nbsp;therefore the red text should only be shown to the column 'b' text no other columns.

1) Press Alt+F11 to go to Visual Basic and if you don't see frmSearch, click the little plus sign to expand the Forms folder<br />
