LAPS changes the domain administrator password

I am just installing LAPS on our systems. I have initially installed it on only two machines, our domain controller, Server 2019, and my work station, Windows 10. The local admin password on my work station changed as expected. However, on the DC, the domain administrator account was changed, not just the local administrator account. This was totally unexpected. What might be causing this and how do I go about fixing it?

Well, that would explain it. So I shouldn't be running LAPS on domain controllers.

Thanks
that's correct you only install it to PCs and member servers.
