remote desktop connections dropping

Have a Sonicwall at a location and a Cisco ASA at another.  They have been setup to allow ip ranges so we
don't have to use a VPN software like any connect or netextender to make the connection to access shared resources like network folders and such.  The issue we are having is users at the 2nd location (the offices are not on the same domain) connect using remote desktop connection and that bring up a terminal server session and then users login to our accounting system.  They get disconnected everyday about twice a day.  They have told me it happens between 1 and 2 pm.  This does not log off the accounting system session only the remote desktop connection.  what  steps should I take to investigate on why this is occurring?
