The way Apple likes people to do it is to use Time Machine for backups. &nbsp;Once you have a Time machine backup, reinstall the OS on the existing Mac, then recover from Time machine. &nbsp;You can use <strong>Migration Assistant.app</strong> to load your Time Machine back into the OS.

How to clone and Image Macbook in Intel and M1
