asked on

Cannot access AWS workspace from chromebook.

Hi
I cannot access AWS WorkSpace from ChromeBook. I have checked and it supports Installing Android applications. (CB315-2H)
From my laptop I can log into the Workspace but I cannot logon from chrome book.
After entering the credentials, app  goes through 'Launching Session' and give me error message
An error has occurred while launching your workspace, Please try again

Can anyone please advise why is that.

What  year is the chromebook ? AWS recommends using the Android client application if your chromebook supports it. Chromebooks launched in 2019 or later support installing Android application. Some chrombook devices prior to 2019 may not support installing Android application and may cause some issues.

can you check the health status from the client device https://clients.amazonworkspaces.com/Health.html

Chromebook model is CB315-2H and was release in April 2019. Chrome OS version is 91.0.4472.81.
I have checked the compatibly list and Chromebook is compatible.
Android is ticked under Access Control Options.
I am assuming by android app you mean I need to install AWS workspace Client Android/Chromebook

Seems like your device meets all the requirements. What’s the workspace client version you installed? Have you tried re-installing the client?

Hi
Chromebook does not support AWS workspace.
