Importing an iTunes Library from the Cloud

I am travelling with a new PC computer, and would like to download my iTunes music library from the Cloud (my main PC computer backs up to the Cloud periodically).  How can I do this?

Thanks,

ITGuy565,  Thanks for the prompt reply.  But it appears as though I need to buy "Apple Music" to download MY Library from the Cloud to my computer.  Can this be true?  Is there a way to download my own Library without having to buy another Apple service?

Hopefully we'll get to where we need to be.  These instructions seem to require that the Home Computer is on for "Home Sharing".  I turned it off before leaving home.  I was hoping to be able to download my Library from my iCloud account, but this article doesn't seem to address that.  Please advise.  Thanks.

Sorry the two options provided didn't meet your needs. At this point in time, I am unable to come up with another solution as I have no way to actually troubleshoot and test the options provided. I will continue to monitor this question and if there isn't a solution, I will look further at this question tonight when I get in front of a personal computer.

Thanks,

I think you might be coming at this from a bit of a misunderstanding of iTunes and iCloud.

You don't mention what computers the Home and new PC computer are.. are they both Apple Mac or not? Is one or both a Windows PC?  Please clarify as this will affect the options available, but only slightly.

iCloud backups are not really connected to iTunes Music and just because your Home computer uses iCloud does not really impact the ability to access your Music on several devices.  You cannot play music or access files inside a backup in Apple Music/iTunes.

You should think of Apple Music more like SPOTIFY .. all the songs, music that you purchase from Apple Music (or anything that is free to listen to such as podcasts) can be listened to on all PCs which are running the Apple OSX Music App or iTunes on Windows (as long as you login to all of them with the same Apple user account).  You can download the purchased music to all PCs to listen to offline as you nominally "own" it.

HOWEVER ..  any music files like MP3 or AAC files which are on your Home PC inside Apple Music or iTunes which are self-encoded or copied from other sources and are NOT purchased from Apple will not be shared online and therefore CANNOT be played/listened to on any other PC via the Internet.  The exception is when both PCs are on the same network and the HOME SHARING feature can be used to allow one PC to play music from another PC.

Thanks for explaining.  All my computers are PC.
