Can the LG classic phone be used for 2 factor authentication

The LG classic does not seem to have app download capabilities. Can it be used in some other way for 2 factor authentication?

How would a 2nd factor call be initiated?

Every cell phone I have seen in the last 20 years supports SMS.

To initiate the call, it happens at logon. Pit in your username and password, and then you get a call where they either give you a code you need to enter, or you need to respond on the call by entering some touch tone code. It is highly dependent on what you are using MFA for. Is this your own services, where you provision and configure MFA? Or this this some other service, like a bank?

This is for Lastpass login information
Here is the list of supported 2FA options for LastPass.

LastPass Grid requires no electronics for MFA, which may be your best option.

LastPass Sesame looks like a computer based MFA TOTP token generator. Basically the computer version of what a phone app would do.

Please note, more and more big names are moving away from SMS authentication, due to first of all, safety (SMS can be intercepted, a flaw known to telecoms provider, and that's never been plugged). Second, the authenticator apps are now also easier to use than typing in the received code (Push alerts brings the app on top, just press the correct button)
In some countries, you also have troubles getting the SMS due to phone network issues.

I share my lastpass with someone else that doesn't have smart phone. I decide to go to a grid. However, the grid comes up only once and once the answer is provided for entry, the next entry to lastpass doesn't require any 2nd pass. Is this correct?
