Generally to debug this problem you'll require access to IMAP logs, so yes...<br />
<br />
Either Google will debug this or you'll move your IMAP in house, using Dovecot or similar, so you can instantly debug this type of problem in the future.<br />
<br />
You might think... &quot;Oh we can't do this in house&quot;... until... this problem begins crawling through 100s-1000s of Mailboxes... with Google never providing any type of satisfaction fixing the problem...<br />

Google's support is... many times... challenging...

My wife uses the Gmail web interface. Her university uses Gmail as its email. Yesterday she opens her Gmail account to find thousands of her emails in her inbox (Normally she keeps maybe a dozen in the inbox). Somehow, some server somewhere, routed everything - trash, sent mail etc - into her inbox. On phone with a university tech for several hours. They could not resolve the problem at their level. They in turn began working with Google tech Gmail techs. This has been going on for most of the day. I'm writing on the off chance someone here has seen this before or someone who works for Gmail and may have something to suggest. Thank you for posting this peculiar situation. &nbsp; <br><br>
