How to provide access to an application for a RDP user in windows 2016

We have a windows 2016 server where the current user is having RDP access. The user needs access to one of the applications on a server and when the user tries to log in, he gets the prompt to enter an admin credential. How can we give admin access to a specific application only and not the entire server?

What is the application?
It sounds as though the application either has a higher rights requirement, or the setup on the system limits or requires additional setup.

Software restrictio Said?
Per-user application allocations?

Check your setup on the server and how it is deployed for the user.

To resolve much more info is needed to understand what might be going on.

You can apply permissions on access to the application.

if the user requires access to the server to enter the application. It would be a bad thing not to allow him access to the server.

You can also configure a GPO to indicate that you can see the user on the server and that you don't want them to see.
