Cannot re-install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
I had to uninstall Adobe Acrobat reader because I was having issues with it. After uninstalling it I keep getting windows error message " Windows Installer does not permit patching of manager advertised products. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the patch." I tried running the adobe labs AcroCleaner and it did not help. I googled the registry keys and deleted a few but still getting the same error message. Can you please advise how to clean to be able to re-install Adobe?

Are you running a .MSI installer, or a .MSP patch file? It sounds like you are running the wrong executable

I'm running the offline installer (.exe) file that I downloaded directly from Adobe. I tried doing the web browser download install but I run into the exact same problem.

Did you run the adobe cleaner AS An ADMINISTRATOR?
Is the .exe file your using an update file (not an msp patch file), and not a full blown installer file?

- Reboot your machine after running the adobe cleaner
- I have doubts that your exe file is a full installer so it may be better to download the installer again

are you sure there are no virus? run an AV scan, or MBAM http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

That's great to hear Christian. You're very welcome and glad I was able to assist a bit.
In the way of some further info, I've been a fan of Revo for many years and another tip for the future (should you choose to register it) is to only install new software by using the "Install program with Revo Uninstaller Pro" option.
The bonus of installing that way is that you are guaranteed a perfectly clean removal of software you decide you no longer want, including stray files and registry entries that are often left behind by standard author based uninstall routines.
