Migration options - CISCO 2950

We are in the middle of a network migration to new hardware and we came across this old Catalyst 2950 which its ports only support 10/100mbps speeds. The issue is that on the new hardware 5Ks we don't have a module that would support these speeds. however we do have a FEXs 2348TQ that could do the job but FEXs don't support BPDUs...Any thoughts? ideas? (we can't get rid of these 2950)

What do you mean "FEXs don't support BPDUs"? They do as BPDUGuard is enabled on them. If you connect a switch to a FEX you need to configure BPDUFilter on the switch you're connecting to the FEX.

Anyway, you can replace the 2950 with something like a 9200 or 9300.

Do the devices connecting to the 2950 only support 10/100?

The solution at this point is to move the servers, connected to this 2950, to the FEX. The main issue here is that another team manages this switch which is delaying the decision on what we gonna do. Replacing the switch is not an option, I don't think there're many servers on this switch anyway. The main question is if they are using this switch to host isolated vlans. Vlans that they don't want trunked up to the core.

If there are isolated VLANs, can you not put them in a VDC if you move to the Nexus?
