User cannot print Word documents in some folders
Yesterday, user said that she cannot print some Word doc in some share drive. She try to copy the folders on the desktop and print the word doc. User also fail. I copy one file on the desktop and it can print. Why?
Check Printer's Driver. If it isn't new, update it with the latest you can find on the Printer's producer web page.
- Are other Office documents fine in that shared drive besides Word?
- Is there another printer to test and compare with?
- Try a repair on Office and check if Office is updated or matching other users.
- Try removing and re-installing the existing printer.
- If this is a Windows OS:
- Perhaps try installing Process Monitor and watch whats occuring as it fails.
- Are there errors under Event Viewer sections?
- Maybe test under a fresh or new user profile as a last resort.
Can she open the word file?
If yes, is the Print button greyed out?

4. User can print in other share folder.
Maybe remove and re-add their access and permissions to the folder.
