Unbuntu FAT32 Vs Ext4
Hi,
I had a Win10 Lenovo laptop, with all of the Lenovo partitions that I converted to Unbuntu 20.04. When prompted, I didn’t select to fully wipe and use entire HD.
I was a little surprised to see it did a FAT32 partition instead of Ext4.
So my question it, is it worthwhile to redo install and specify Ext4? Is there any benefit?
the reinstall and even the recovery of my stuff is so easy to do, just wondering if I should redo to get any benefits from Ext4 partition, if any.
I don’t need drive encryption or storage of large files, which is some of the limitations of FAT32. just wondering if it’s worthwhile to redo and use Ext4 instead of FAT32.
please let me know.
thank you
