Handle orders

Hi,
What would be the way for Amazon portal to pass delivery details (like goods, receipient, phone, address, time) to DHL? Would it by Emails? And then DHL would process such Emails in their system to send out confirmation further to relevant buyer of goods?

Email is too inefficient. They use an interface directly with DHL (the shipper)  The seller (store) will do all the communication with the customer and give the customer the tracking number from the shipping company

What kind of interface is it? Would it involve direct file transfer? Any example to such kind of interface (system) name?

Some sort of B2B (business-to-business) integration usually with an ESB (enterprise service bus) consuming Web APIs, flat files etc.

Is there any product available in the market, for the shipper company, to get ready immediately, with such API/interface?
